The Marion County School Board purchases a limited accident insurance policy to help parents pay for some the medical expenses associated with accidents occurring during school sponsored, school supervised middle and high school interscholastic sports and special school club activities.

As a public service to parents in the Marion County school community, the cost of the athletic and school clubs protection plan is paid for by the Marion County School Board.

The policy has specific terms and limits and may not pay for all, and in some instances, for any medical expenses. Parents with other insurance must first file a claim with their other insurance source before being eligible to file for assistance from the school policy.
